“Have you already started drinking? No! It’s just my scent!”

The Argentinean Malbec; A global icon known for its complex aromas, robust and fruity flavors and a staple with a great steak dinner. Many fall in love with the Malbec long before arriving at an Anuva Wines tasting yet for those not familiar with the varietal, most leave with a great appreciation for the grape. For those clients obsessed with everything Malbec, and trust me, we see many, we have found a new solution for you!

Malbec cologne. That’s right, you love the Malbec grape so much you want to carry its aroma with you wherever you go. Familia Zuccardi, a winery located just outside the city of Mendoza has started producing Malbec cologne for men. Familia Zuccardi has partnered with Aromas del Vino, a company dedicated to producing essential oils inspired by the components of different wines and wine varietals.

Following Familia Zuccardi’s lead, a small winery in Salta famous for their aromatic Torrontes wines have ventured into the perfumes business as well. They have begun producing a Torrontes perfume, described as fruity and full of citrus accents, typical of the flagship white. The Torrontes perfume is marketed for women but as an avid fan of the Torrontes aromas as well, I wouldn’t be surprised if you found a few men reaching for the stylish looking canisters.

While I can’t guarantee the authenticity, the similarity to actual Malbec and Torrontes aromas or the risk of being labeled a mid-morning drunk, I would certainly be open to wear Argentina’s flagship red and white wine varietals for an evening. I could also just spill a glass on myself.
